She is a tireless and prolific advocate for women’s rights, as well as the rights of marginalized and indigenous communities.
Brenda Feigen is an entertainment and anti-discrimination attorney who works to end sex-discrimination in Hollywood. After graduating from Harvard Law 1969, she was a leader in the women’s movement and a co-founder of both Ms. Magazine with Gloria Steinem and the ACLU’s Women’s Rights Project with Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
Rev. Barber is a Protestant Minister at Greenleaf Christian Church and the current President of the North Carolina NAACP. He organized both the Forward Together Moral Mondays Protests that began in April 2013 and the Historic Thousands on Jones Street Peoples Assembly Coalition, a broad alliance of progressive organizations with over 2 million members. He received a Master of Divinity degree from Duke University and a PhD from Drew University and is the author of Preaching Through Unexpected Pain.
